Hi, I am new to malware reverse engineering, but not programming and hacking in general. I am interested in malware reverse engineering, however am having difficulty finding something that suits my ability. All malware samples I have come across have been riddled with obfuscation, anti-debugger techniques, encryption, and compression.

Does anyone know any targets for me to try which are slightly less challenging? I don't care if it's old and has been analyzed a million times already; I am just looking for something to try to reverse engineer for fun.

Thanks.

Look for posts in the malware section with the words "unpacked" - such as "unpacked in attach" "attached unpacked + original", etc. Many people who post samples also post an unpacked binary. You will have an easier time with these ones.
